The Automatic Stress-Strain at Low Elongation Tester automates the measurement of the static modulus of elasticity in the low elongation of vulcanized rubber from the supply of test pieces to bench marking, from preliminary tension to measurement in a main test. The distance between bench marks is detected and controlled on a noncontact basis with a CCD camera, so that accurate stress measurement can be performed even at low elongation.
